Job Title
P.G.T. History Teacher – Delhi Public School | Barmer
Key Responsibilities
The role involves planning and delivering engaging History lessons for Classes IX to XII, preparing worksheets, quizzes and project work that align with the CBSE syllabus. Regular assessment of student progress, maintaining records, and providing feedback to parents form part of the day‑to‑day duties. Collaboration with the Humanities department for interdisciplinary activities and participation in school events such as cultural fests and heritage walks are also expected.
Typical Working Week
A typical week sees the teacher conducting five to six periods of History teaching, interspersed with periods for remedial support and enrichment classes. Time is allocated for lesson planning, grading assignments, and updating the school’s digital portal with marks and attendance. Teachers also attend fortnightly departmental meetings, contribute to curriculum reviews, and mentor a small group of students for history‑related projects.
Recurring Responsibilities
- Design and execute lesson plans that stimulate critical thinking about Indian and World history.
- Conduct periodic class tests, unit exams and evaluate answer scripts promptly.
- Organise field trips to local museums, heritage sites in Barmer and nearby districts to provide experiential learning.

Required Qualifications

Salary
