Day-to-Day Duties
As an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR of Political Science, your responsibilities will include:
* Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Political Science, including lectures, seminars, and tutorials
* Advising students on academic and personal matters, including course selection and research projects
* Participating in academic administration, such as curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation
* Conducting research in your area of specialization and publishing in reputable academic journals
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and pedagogies
* Engaging with the wider community through outreach and extension activities
* Participating in faculty meetings and contributing to decision-making processes
* Maintaining accurate records and reports, including student grades and attendance records
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, you must have a Ph.D. from a recognized university in Political Science or a related field. Industry experience or a teaching qualification is desirable, but not essential. You should have a strong academic record, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and research.
