Role Summary
Decent School in Kota, Rajasthan is looking for a senior Business Studies educator to anchor the department and drive academic excellence. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver Business Studies lessons for Classes 11 and 12, aligning content with CBSE guidelines and recent case studies from Indian businesses. Prepare students for board exams while developing their analytical and entrepreneurial thinking through project work and viva sessions.
Own the curriculum for Business Studies across grades, ensuring vertical and horizontal alignment with school-wide learning outcomes. Review and update lesson plans every term, incorporating real-world examples from Rajasthan’s growing MSME sector.
Mentor TGT Business Studies teachers, conduct demonstration lessons, and provide constructive feedback on classroom delivery and student engagement. Organize monthly department meetings to share best practices and discuss exam trends.
Track and analyze board exam performance, identifying weak areas in the cohort and designing targeted interventions. Present detailed academic reports to the Principal and Vice Principal each term.
Organize inter-house business quizzes, mock stock market simulations, and visits to local industries to connect theory with practice. Collaborate with the career guidance team to prepare students for commerce streams in higher education.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in Business Studies or related field with B.Ed from a recognized Indian university. Minimum five years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level, with at least three years in a CBSE-affiliated school.
Preference for candidates who have qualified UGC-NET or SET in Commerce, or who have served as a department coordinator previously. Familiarity with Rajasthan’s education landscape and familiarity with local student demographics is an advantage.
