Role Summary
Decent School in Kota, Rajasthan invites applications for the post of PGT Political Science Teacher to impart quality education in Political Science to students. As a PGT Political Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Political Science to classes 9 to 12 and will be required to prepare lesson plans, teach, and assess students regularly. You will also be expected to participate in school activities, provide pastoral care to students, and contribute to the development of the school's curriculum.
Pedagogy and Tools
As a PGT Political Science Teacher, you will be expected to use a range of pedagogical approaches to engage students and promote their learning. You will use a combination of lectures, discussions, group work, and other interactive methods to make Political Science interesting and relevant to students. You will also use educational tools such as online resources, educational software, and multimedia materials to enhance student learning.
What You Will Do
- Teach Political Science to classes 9 to 12
- Prepare lesson plans and assessments for students
- Mark and provide feedback on student work
- Participate in school activities and events
- Provide pastoral care and support to students
- Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum
- Prepare and deliver lessons on different aspects of Political Science such as Indian Polity, International Relations, and Indian National Movement
- Use case studies and real-life examples to make Political Science relevant and interesting to students
- Foster a culture of critical thinking, analysis, and debate in the classroom
Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate degree in Political Science or related subject from a recognized university
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized university
- TET or CTET qualification is preferred but not essential
- At least 3 years of experience in teaching Political Science in a school setting
- Good understanding of the Indian education system and curriculum
