What You Will Do
As the Head of the English department, you will be responsible for curriculum ownership, mentoring junior staff members, and ensuring excellent board results. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing an English language curriculum that aligns with CBSE standards
- Providing guidance and support to junior staff members to enhance their teaching skills
- Conducting regular assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve student performance
- Collaborating with the Principal and other department heads to achieve academic excellence
- Representing the school in various English language events and competitions
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and departmental activities
- Participating in staff development programs to enhance teaching skills
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget for the English department

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, you must possess a B.Ed degree and a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Prior experience as a Head of Department or a similar senior role is preferred. Additionally, holding a NET or SET qualification is highly desirable.
