About This Role
Bhartiya Sainik School Rajasthan is seeking an experienced Basketball Coach to join our team in Sikar. As a key member of our Physical Education department, the Basketball Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive basketball program that promotes student-athlete excellence and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute basketball practices and games for students
- Develop and implement strategies for improving team performance
- Conduct player evaluations and assessments to identify areas of improvement
- Ensure compliance with school policies and regulations
- Coordinate with other Physical Education staff members to plan and execute events
- Supervise and mentor student-athletes during practices and games
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and other stakeholders
- Participate in school-wide events and activities
- Maintain accurate records of player progress and team performance
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Physical Education or Sports Management
- 3 years of experience in coaching basketball at the high school or collegiate level
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed is not required for this non-teaching administrative role
- Preference will be given to candidates with TET/CTET certification
Preferred Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with students, parents, and colleagues in a team environment
- Familiarity with local sports programs and events
