Geography (PGT) Vacancy in Sikar, Rajasthan
Saraswati Vidya Mandir School
Job Description
This role at Saraswati Vidya Mandir School in Sikar is for a dedicated PGT Geography Teacher. You will be responsible for teaching high school geography to students, ensuring they grasp key concepts like physical geography, human geography, and environmental studies. The position involves designing engaging lesson plans, conducting interactive classes, and assessing student performance through exams and projects.
You will prepare students for competitive exams like NEET and state-level board tests, which often include geography as a significant subject. The school emphasizes hands-on learning, so you’ll also be expected to organize field trips to local landmarks, such as the Ajmer Dargah or the Thar Desert, to bring geography to life. Your role includes mentoring students beyond the classroom, helping them understand regional geography, climate patterns, and natural resources of Rajasthan.
To qualify, you must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a post-graduate qualification in Geography. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, having these certifications will be an advantage. Your teaching experience should ideally include at least two years in a school environment, preferably with a focus on high school geography.
This is a full-time position with a salary range of Rs.35,000 to Rs.60,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. The school is located in Sikar, Rajasthan, and offers a supportive environment for teachers committed to shaping young minds in geography.
The role requires strong communication skills, creativity in teaching methods, and a passion for geography. If you thrive in an academic setting and enjoy making complex geographical concepts accessible, this could be a rewarding opportunity at Saraswati Vidya Mandir School.
