TGT Mathematics Teacher Position at Majusri Public School, Gangtok
Majusri Public School in Temi seeks a dedicated TGT Mathematics Teacher to join its faculty in Gangtok. This role involves teaching high school students across grades 9 to 12, ensuring engaging and structured lessons in mathematics. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for the subject while adapting teaching methods to meet diverse student learning needs.
Teaching responsibilities will include delivering theoretical and practical sessions, using age-appropriate teaching aids, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. The teacher will assess student progress through regular exams, homework assignments, and continuous evaluation to track understanding. Experience in motivating students and fostering a love for mathematics will be highly valued.
The role also requires coordinating with colleagues to align curriculum standards and support departmental growth. Parent-teacher interactions will be minimal but important, particularly in addressing academic concerns or encouraging student participation. The teacher must be organized, patient, and committed to helping students build confidence in mathematical concepts.
This position offers a competitive salary of Rs.17,000 to Rs.30,000 per month, along with the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant educational community in Gangtok. A postgraduate degree in Mathematics with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in a similar setting, will be beneficial.
