Responsibilities

Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement of laboratory equipment and supplies. Develop and implement policies for laboratory safety, compliance with state regulations, and maintenance schedules.
Coordinate with the senior management team to align departmental goals with the overall vision of Billabong High International School. Prepare monthly reports on departmental performance, budget utilization, and student progress metrics. Facilitate professional development workshops for staff, focusing on curriculum updates, assessment techniques, and innovative laboratory practices.
Manage staff schedules, attendance, and performance evaluations, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing work environment. Handle conflict resolution, disciplinary matters, and disciplinary procedures within the department.
Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain open communication with parents, addressing concerns related to laboratory safety and student progress. Represent the chemistry department in school board meetings, contributing to strategic planning and policy formulation.
Leadership & Culture
Promote a culture of scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and safety awareness. Encourage interdisciplinary projects, science fairs, and community outreach initiatives that showcase student achievements.
Salary
Rs.60,000 – Rs.80,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
