Job Description
A PRT Social Science Teacher at Kongu National Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Erode will design and deliver engaging lessons across history, geography, political science, and economics for Class 6 to 8 students. The role focuses on making complex social studies concepts accessible through interactive methods, real-world examples, and age-appropriate visuals.
This position involves creating lesson plans that align with the Tamil Nadu curriculum while ensuring students grasp key themes like Indian history, global geography, and civic responsibilities. Daily tasks include conducting classroom discussions, organizing field trips, and using multimedia to enhance learning.
Assessment is a key part of the job, where you evaluate student understanding through quizzes, projects, and participation. You’ll also prepare weekly lesson outlines, adjust teaching methods based on student feedback, and maintain detailed records of student progress.
To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any stream along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Three years of teaching experience in social science or related subjects is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly beneficial for career growth.
