Rishs International School invites applications for a PGT Geography Teacher to join their team in Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram. This is a School PGT Opening focused on shaping young minds with a strong foundation in geography, blending academic rigor with hands-on learning. The PGT Geography Teacher will be responsible for:
1. Designing and delivering engaging geography lessons, including field trips and practical activities, to enhance student understanding.
2. Preparing lesson plans, syllabus-based curriculum, and assessment tools that meet CBSE standards.
3. Assessing students’ performance through continuous evaluation, including projects, quizzes, and exams.
4. Collaborating with other teachers to integrate geography with social studies and environmental science programs.
5. Maintaining a well-stocked geography lab and classroom resources, ensuring modern teaching aids like maps, globes, and digital tools are available.
6. Participating in school events, such as science fairs and geography competitions, to promote subject interest.
7. Conducting parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address geographical learning gaps.
8. Ensuring compliance with school policies on discipline, attendance, and academic integrity.
To qualify, candidates must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in geography or a related field. A strong background in geography education, preferably with 2 years of teaching experience, is essential. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.
This PGT Geography Teacher position offers a competitive salary of Rs.35,000 - Rs.55,000 per month, along with the opportunity to work in a dynamic learning environment in Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram.
