Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified PGT Philosophy Teacher to join our team at Wonder School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Philosophy to students from Class 6 to 12. The role requires a passion for teaching, a strong subject knowledge, and the ability to create engaging lesson plans.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans for Philosophy classes
- Conduct classes for students from Class 6 to 12
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback
- Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student understanding
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate with parents
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Engage in professional development to enhance teaching skills
Required Qualifications
- Post-graduate degree in Philosophy or related field
- B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree with a specialization in Philosophy
- TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Philosophy
- Strong subject knowledge and effective teaching skills
