What You Will Do

- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver interdisciplinary projects and activities that link History to other subjects, such as Social Studies, Geography, and Languages.
- Engage with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher meetings to ensure open communication and shared understanding of students' learning.
- Participate in School-wide events and activities that promote cultural exchange, diversity, and community service.
- Stay updated with curriculum changes, pedagogical innovations, and best practices in History education, applying this knowledge to enhance teaching and learning at Akshara International School.
- Contribute to the development of History club, promoting extracurricular activities, debates, and cultural events that enrich students' understanding and appreciation of History.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local historians, museums, and cultural institutions to facilitate field trips, workshops, and other enriching experiences for students.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in History (MA or M.Sc.) with B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. from a recognized university.
- Experience of teaching History at the PGT level for at least 3 years, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of the History curriculum and its implementation in a school context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Proficiency in English and Telugu (or other local languages) for effective communication with students and parents.
