About This Role
The PGT Physics Teacher will lead classroom instruction for Classes 11 and 12 at Akshara International School. Lesson planning and demonstration of advanced physics concepts are essential. Regular assessment and parent feedback coordination are part of the role.
What You Will Do
1. Prepare and deliver engaging lessons covering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, and Modern Physics for senior secondary students.
2. Design practical experiments using lab equipment available at Akshara International School.
3. Organize monthly physics quizzes and inter-house competitions to boost interest.
4. Provide remedial support to students weak in problem-solving and numericals.
5. Maintain accurate records of attendance, marks, and unit test results.
6. Collaborate with the science department to align curriculum with CBSE guidelines.
7. Participate in PTMs and contribute to the school’s STEM initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Physics with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. Three years of teaching experience in a senior secondary school is required. TET/CTET is preferred but not mandatory.
Perks and Pay
Monthly salary ranges from Rs.50,000 to Rs.75,000 based on experience and qualifications. Annual performance bonus and festival advances are provided. Health insurance coverage for the teacher and family is included.
