Maintain a safe and organized dance space, ensuring proper equipment and resources are available.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Assist in organizing school events like cultural fests, where dance performances will be a key highlight. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate dance into interdisciplinary projects, such as storytelling or historical themes. Keep detailed records of student progress and attendance in dance-related activities. Participate in school workshops or training sessions to stay updated on teaching methods and dance trends.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare annual dance curriculum reviews to ensure alignment with school policies and student needs. Attend parent-teacher meetings to discuss dance-related achievements and areas for improvement. Organize occasional guest lectures or workshops by professional dancers to enrich student learning experiences.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a minimum of two years of teaching experience in dance or related subjects. A graduate degree in dance, physical education, or a related field is preferred. Experience in teaching students from primary to upper secondary levels is advantageous. Familiarity with TET/CTET guidelines is beneficial but not mandatory.
