About This Role
Akshara International School is expanding its sports program and invites experienced professionals to lead as Sports Teacher in Namapally, Hyderabad. The role is designed for someone who can oversee sports activities, manage teams, and coordinate with school leadership to build a strong athletics culture. You will report directly to the Head of Sports and contribute to strategic decisions that shape the school’s sports reputation in Telangana.

Key Responsibilities
Organize and supervise daily sports sessions across age groups, ensuring safety and adherence to school timings. Coordinate with physical education staff to align training with school sports calendars.
Manage a team of assistant coaches and support staff, assigning roles, monitoring performance, and conducting regular feedback sessions. Prepare monthly progress reports for the Head of Sports and share insights with school management.
Plan and execute inter-house and inter-school tournaments at Akshara International School, including logistics, budgets, and volunteer coordination. Represent the school in regional sports federations and maintain strong relationships with external bodies.
Develop talent identification programs to scout students with potential in cricket, football, athletics, and other sports. Recommend scholarships and advanced training pathways for high-performers.
Oversee maintenance of sports infrastructure and equipment at the Namapally campus, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Liaise with vendors for timely repairs and upgrades to facilities.
Implement sports scholarship and outreach programs in collaboration with CSR partners and local clubs. Promote sports as a tool for social development among students from diverse backgrounds.
Ensure documentation of all sports events, including photographs, certificates, and performance analytics for school records. Share highlights with parents through newsletters and digital platforms.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field from a recognized university. Minimum 2 years of experience in sports coaching or administration in a school or club setting.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing school sports teams and organizing tournaments. Knowledge of Telugu or Hindi is beneficial but not mandatory.
