Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all sports activities and maintain records of participant performance and attendance. Train and mentor student leaders to take charge of smaller sports initiatives. Promote inclusivity by ensuring participation for students with diverse abilities. Work closely with parents and local sports clubs to expand opportunities for students in competitive sports.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline and at least two years of relevant experience in sports management or administration. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is preferred. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Experience in event management, budgeting, and community outreach is a plus. Knowledge of local sports regulations and partnerships with schools or clubs will be beneficial.
Proven leadership in sports-related roles, excellent communication skills to engage students and parents, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with school management software and basic accounting principles for sports budgeting is advantageous. Must be physically active and able to represent the school in public appearances. Experience in organizing sports festivals or national-level events is a significant asset.
