Teach a variety of dance forms—classical, folk, or contemporary—to students from Class I to VIII, ensuring age-appropriate learning. Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with school syllabi while fostering discipline and artistic expression. Organize inter-house dance competitions, workshops, and cultural events to promote teamwork and cultural pride in Mathura’s diverse community. Collaborate with the arts coordinator to integrate dance into school festivals and annual performances.
Qualifications
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a strong foundation in dance pedagogy. Possess a passion for teaching through experiential learning methods, blending creativity with structured instruction. Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh’s folk dances (like Bhangra, Ghoomar) or classical styles (Kathak, Bharatanatyam) is highly valued.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of teaching or dance training experience, preferably in a school setting. Experience mentoring students, adapting lessons for diverse learning levels, and engaging parents in extracurricular activities is a plus. Familiarity with school infrastructure (auditoriums, dance studios) in Mathura would be beneficial.
Salary and Employment
