About This Role
Dsb International School is inviting applications for a senior TGT Social Science Teacher who will shape the department’s direction in Rishikesh and Dehradun. This role is designed for an experienced educator ready to lead curriculum design, mentor junior staff, and drive board results across Uttarakhand. What You Will Do
Teach Social Science to middle and senior sections with a focus on history, geography, and civics, aligning lessons to CBSE standards. Curate syllabi and resources that resonate with students in Rishikesh and Dehradun, integrating local examples where relevant. Oversee the Social Science department’s academic calendar, ensuring continuity and depth across grades VI to X.
Develop assessment frameworks that track conceptual understanding and application, providing actionable feedback to students and parents. Conduct periodic subject enrichment activities like quiz competitions and model-making sessions to foster engagement. Mentor TGT and PGT Social Science teachers, guiding them in pedagogy, resource creation, and classroom management.
Analyze board exam trends and past results to identify improvement areas, implementing targeted interventions. Collaborate with the academic leadership to align department goals with school-wide initiatives. Represent the department in parent-teacher meetings and academic forums within Uttarakhand.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in Social Science with a B.Ed degree from a recognized institution. Minimum five years of teaching experience in Social Science at the secondary level. NET or SET qualification in Social Science is preferred but not mandatory. Fluency in English and Hindi is essential for effective communication with students and parents.
