Music (PRT) Vacancy in Bazpur, Udhamsingh Nagar, Uttarakhand
Eklavya Model Residential School Bazpur
Job Description
This is a PRT Music Teacher position at Eklavya Model Residential School Bazpur, where you’ll teach music to students in a structured, residential environment. Your role will blend classroom instruction with practical singing, instrument handling, and basic music theory—no need for advanced degrees in musicology. The school expects hands-on teaching in a small group setting, often with students from grades 6 to 12, and you’ll be part of a team that values creativity alongside discipline.
Your daily tasks include conducting vocal and instrumental lessons, preparing simple musical activities like singing games, and teaching basic music notation. You’ll also assist in organizing school events like cultural fests, where music plays a key role. Occasionally, you’ll help with recording short audio clips for student projects or demonstrating instruments during assemblies. Since the school is in Bazpur, you’ll need to adapt to local cultural music preferences while keeping lessons aligned with CBSE syllabus guidelines.
To qualify, you must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree, with at least two years of teaching experience. While TET/CTET isn’t mandatory, having it will help with recruitment. Your ability to teach basic instruments like the tabla, harmonium, or keyboard will be a plus. The school values enthusiasm for music, patience with diverse learning levels, and the ability to engage students in fun, interactive lessons.
The pay is Rs.20,000 to Rs.30,000 per month, with benefits including free boarding, lodging, and travel allowances. You’ll also get access to training workshops for music education. The school offers a supportive environment with experienced mentors, and you’ll work closely with the principal and other PRTs to ensure smooth operations.
To apply, send your resume and a brief letter explaining your teaching experience and music skills to the designated email. Include references from previous schools where possible. No interviews are required; shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further steps.
