Swami Vivekananda Model School in Birbhum seeks a dedicated TGT Physical Education Teacher to lead sports, fitness, and health education programs for students. This role demands expertise in designing age-appropriate activities that promote physical well-being, teamwork, and discipline. You will oversee structured sports programs, including track and field, basketball, volleyball, and outdoor games, ensuring compliance with school policies and safety standards.
The teacher’s responsibilities include planning and conducting daily PE classes, organizing inter-house competitions, and mentoring student athletes. Practical assessments like obstacle courses, relay races, and skill drills will be a core part of your work. You’ll also collaborate with coaches and parents to foster a culture of sportsmanship and healthy lifestyle choices among students.
To qualify, hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate diploma in Physical Education or a related field. A minimum of four years of teaching experience in Physical Education is mandatory, preferably in schools. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly beneficial for career growth.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month, along with a supportive environment in Birbhum, West Bengal.
