About Swami Vivekananda Model School | Birbhum

Swami Vivekananda Model School sits on a quiet lane behind Suri Sadar Hospital in Vivekananda Pally, Barabagan, Suri, Birbhum, West Bengal, PIN 731103. It was set up in 2012 to serve families from the town and the surrounding villages, offering a place where children can grow up together from early childhood through the higher grades. The school is run by the Social Welfare & Educational Trust, and its co‑educational setting reflects the mixed community that lives in this part of Birbhum.

The school follows the CBSE curriculum, which gives students a consistent framework and prepares them for the examinations they will face later on. Teachers keep the schedule tight enough to cover the syllabus but flexible enough to let students explore subjects like music and work‑education in a practical way. An on‑site library and a small music‑recreation area give kids a chance to read and create outside the classroom, while a dedicated medical support room means any health issue is dealt with promptly.

Beyond the textbooks, the school tries to shape character through a structured programme that stresses responsibility and teamwork. It is a place where teachers are expected to be as much mentors as instructors, and the current hiring drive for Assistant and Montessori teachers shows the management’s intent to keep the staff fresh and enthusiastic. The atmosphere is informal enough that a student can ask a question without feeling intimidated, yet disciplined enough that everyone knows what is expected.
