About A Gs Public School | Sholoora

When I first looked for a school for my little one, the name A G’s Public School in Sholoora kept coming up, and after a few visits it felt right away that this was the place families in Kralpora trust. It’s a co‑educational private school that has been around since the early 2000s – founded by Haji Abdul Gani Dar, who had run the Jawahar Navodaya School in Kupwara before, and opening its doors to students in March 2006. Over the past twenty‑plus years they have taken a small village setting and turned it into a campus that feels surprisingly modern, with smart digital classrooms, well‑equipped science and computer labs, a decent library, and round‑the‑clock CCTV monitoring that gives parents peace of mind.

Academically the school follows the CBSE curriculum, and the teachers they employ are mostly locals who have spent years teaching in the area. They are not fresh graduates but seasoned educators who know how to make the English‑medium syllabus work for children who speak Kashmiri or Hindi at home. Their lesson plans are clear, they keep the classwork rigorous yet understandable, and they give extra help to anyone who falls behind. I’ve seen my child’s confidence in subjects like mathematics and science grow because the teachers explain concepts with real‑life examples rather than just textbook drills.

What really sets A G’s apart, in my view, is how they balance study with activities that keep the kids moving and thinking. The school runs athletics, martial arts, and various arts programs, and they encourage participation in national
