Location and Institution
The position is based in Koderma, Jharkhand, within the premises of Sainik School | Tilaiya. This full‑time role calls for a graduate with a minimum of three years experience in a music‑related field.
Responsibilities – Administration
Oversee the day‑to‑day functioning of the school’s music department, ensuring seamless coordination of events, workshops, and performances. Manage the inventory of instruments and related equipment, maintaining accurate records and scheduling necessary maintenance. Liaise with external vendors, event organizers, and community partners to secure resources and opportunities for student participation.
Leadership and Planning
Lead the planning of the annual music calendar, aligning with school festivals, examinations, and national competitions. Prepare budgets for departmental activities, submit expenditure reports, and monitor financial compliance with school policies. Coordinate with senior administration to integrate music programs into the broader curricular and extracurricular framework.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary contact for parents and external stakeholders regarding music initiatives. Organize informational sessions and maintain transparent communication about program goals, achievements, and upcoming events. Provide guidance to junior staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment.
Performance Review and Reporting
Compile regular reports on program outcomes, attendance, and resource utilization. Present findings to the school board and senior management, recommending improvements or new initiatives. Ensure all documentation complies with institutional standards and regulatory requirements.
Compensation
Rs.25,000 – Rs.35,000 per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
Qualifications
Graduate degree in any discipline. Prior experience in music administration or related leadership roles is essential. TET/CTET not required.
