PGT Sociology Teacher Position at Gd Goenka School, Namkum
Gd Goenka School invites qualified educators to join its faculty as a PGT Sociology Teacher in the Namkum campus. This role offers a monthly salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.55,000, with the opportunity to shape students’ understanding of social structures, cultural dynamics, and contemporary societal issues.
To qualify, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Sociology or a related discipline, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. Two years of teaching experience in Sociology or a relevant field is essential.
Core Responsibilities
Plan and deliver advanced Sociology lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum. Assess students’ understanding through exams, projects, and practical assignments. Develop engaging teaching materials, including case studies and discussions on social movements, inequality, and urbanization.
Additional Duties
Participate in departmental meetings to discuss syllabus updates and student performance trends. Collaborate with other PGTs to enhance interdisciplinary teaching approaches. Support extracurricular activities, such as debates or model democracies, where Sociology themes are relevant. Act as a mentor for students interested in social sciences research or community service projects.
