Job Overview
S.b. Inter College Bartuwa invites applications for a PRT Music vacancy in Ranchi. The role involves teaching music theory and practicals to undergraduate students. Department needs a trained professional who can blend classical, folk and light music traditions in classroom delivery.
What You Will Do
Conduct daily lectures and practical sessions for PRT students in Ormanjhi campus. Organize monthly music appreciation workshops for local school clusters in Ranchi district. Assist in setting and evaluating theory and practical exam papers as per university pattern. Develop semester-wise lesson plans aligned with college curriculum and regional learning needs. Mentor 20-25 students each semester for their annual cultural programs. Coordinate inter-college music competitions hosted by S.b. Inter College Bartuwa. Maintain attendance, assessment records and submit reports to the head of department. Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress in music studies.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in Music with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. NET/SET qualified candidates preferred; NET mandatory for Assistant Professor roles at S.b. Inter College Bartuwa. Three years of teaching experience in school or college music programs. Candidates with M.Phil or Ph.D in Music will be given preference during selection.
Academic Projects
Encourage students to compose original songs in regional languages for college festivals. Guide interested students to participate in UGC-NET sponsored music seminars in Ranchi. Assist department in publishing an annual college music journal featuring student and faculty compositions. Organize outreach programs in nearby villages to promote folk music preservation. Collaborate with local artists for guest lecture series on Hindustani and Carnatic traditions.
Salary and Benefits
The Music PRT job in Ranchi offers Rs.18,000 - Rs.30,000 per month as per UGC scales. Fixed monthly pay with annual increment based on performance reviews. Eligible for DA, HRA and medical reimbursement as per state government norms. Festival advance and subsidized canteen facility available on campus.
