Role Summary
Orchids The International School is looking for an experienced Primary teacher to lead the Environmental Studies department at its Hungund campus. This is a senior Evs position where the candidate will guide junior staff and shape academic outcomes in Bagalakote.
What You Will Do
Own the entire Evs curriculum from lesson planning to assessment for classes 1 to 5. Curate age-appropriate content that connects classroom concepts to local ecosystems around Hungund and Bagalakote.
Mentor three to four junior PRT Evs teachers through demonstration lessons, feedback sessions and resource sharing. Create a culture of continuous professional development within the department.
Drive consistent improvements in Evs board results by identifying weak areas in student understanding and designing targeted interventions. Monitor progress of each student every term and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Introduce hands-on projects such as waste segregation drives, tree plantation drives and water conservation campaigns that involve students, parents and the local community in Hungund.
Organize monthly Evs exhibitions where students showcase models, charts and presentations on topics like soil types, water cycles and solar energy.
Conduct parent-teacher meetings with a focus on Evs learning outcomes and suggest simple at-home activities to reinforce classroom concepts.
Collaborate with the social science and science departments to integrate Evs themes into cross-curricular projects and school events.
Prepare quarterly reports on Evs learning levels for school leadership and suggest resource allocations for the next academic session.
Represent Orchids The International School at district-level Evs teacher forums and share best practices from Hungund with peers.
