About Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School sits on a 17‑acre, tree‑lined plot along Bangalore‑Mysore Road, just beyond the Pepsi factory in Kanmanike Village, Bengaluru 560074. The campus feels more like a small town than a conventional school: there are wide, shaded walkways, a solar‑powered grid, a mineral‑water plant, and a fully equipped hostel that runs from class V through class X, with residential facilities for the senior‑secondary PUC students as well. The day‑school wing accommodates boys from LKG to class X, while the boarding side offers a tightly managed routine that includes personal wardrobes, hot‑water lines, laundry services every three days, an on‑site tailoring unit and a modest store for stationery and snacks. Meals are strictly vegetarian and designed to meet the nutritional needs of growing adolescents, so teachers never have to worry about students going hungry.

The community here is a blend of modern ambition and deep‑rooted tradition. The school’s philosophy rests on three pillars—Vidya, Sadvidya and Brahmavidya—so students are encouraged to excel in academics while also absorbing moral values and a sense of spiritual awareness. Because the institution is boys‑only, the atmosphere tends to be lively yet disciplined, with a strong emphasis on respect for peers and teachers alike. Parents are generally involved and appreciative of the school’s effort to combine rigorous CBSE and PUC curricula with preparation for competitive exams such as IIT‑JEE and NEET. The residential setting fosters a close‑knit camaraderie among students, many of whom stay on campus for several years, creating a sense of continuity that teachers often find rewarding.

From a teaching perspective, the academic environment is both demanding and well‑supported. Classrooms are equipped with interactive boards, high‑speed internet and a host of digital resources that allow for blended learning, while the campus’s eco‑friendly design encourages projects in sustainability and environmental science. The school’s schedule balances intensive subject work—especially in the science and commerce streams at the PUC level—with co‑curricular activities that reflect traditional arts, yoga and community service. There is a clear expectation that teachers stay current with CBSE guidelines, incorporate technology meaningfully, and contribute to the moral and spiritual fabric of the school through regular interactions with students beyond the textbook.

A teacher who thrives at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School is someone comfortable navigating a dual focus on high‑achievement academics and character building. If you enjoy mentoring students over several years, appreciate a structured yet flexible timetable, and are willing to participate in hostel
