Collaborate with the Science department to organize science fairs, workshops, and inter-school competitions to encourage scientific exploration. Guide students in understanding real-world applications of chemistry, such as environmental science, industrial processes, and everyday chemistry, to deepen their interest. Keep updated on new educational technologies and teaching methodologies to improve classroom instruction and student engagement. Participate in curriculum development meetings to refine teaching strategies and ensure consistency in standards across the school. Supervise student lab activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and handling hazardous materials responsibly.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Chemistry or an equivalent subject with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to qualify for the role. Minimum three years of teaching experience in Chemistry at the secondary or higher secondary level is required. Familiarity with state-level teaching assessments like TET or CTET is beneficial but not mandatory for this position. Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to explain complex chemical concepts in simple terms are essential for effective teaching.
Salary and Location
