Day-to-Day Duties
1. Supervise hostel staff, including caretakers and mess workers, to maintain cleanliness and order.
2. Monitor student attendance, entry‑exit logs and ensure strict adherence to hostel rules.
3. Conduct regular inspections of rooms, bathrooms and common areas for safety compliance.
4. Resolve conflicts among residents and act as a mentor for personal and academic well‑being.
5. Coordinate with the kitchen to plan nutritious meals and manage inventory of supplies.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs and expenses.
7. Organize recreational and cultural activities within the hostel to promote a vibrant community.
8. Liaise with parents and guardians regarding student welfare and any incidents.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate degree from a recognized university is essential. Preference given to candidates holding B.Ed or D.El.Ed, though teaching duties are not part of this role. Minimum three years of experience in hostel or residential management is required. Basic computer skills for record‑keeping and familiarity with MS Office are expected.
