Day-to-Day Duties
Design and update the Computer Science curriculum for both junior and senior college levels in line with UGC and Maharashtra State Board norms. Integrate emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity into classroom teaching.
Mentor junior faculty members and conduct periodic teaching observations with constructive feedback sessions. Lead departmental meetings to align teaching strategies and share best practices.
Coordinate internal assessments, practical examinations, and model question paper preparation for Computer Science subjects. Ensure timely submission of marks and maintain academic records as per college policies.
Initiate and oversee departmental research projects aligned with UGC-CARE standards. Guide students in publishing papers and presenting at regional symposia.
Organize guest lectures by industry professionals and alumni to bridge academic learning with real-world applications. Facilitate industry visits and internship tie-ups for enhanced practical exposure.
Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of computer labs and software resources. Ensure availability of licensed tools and conduct periodic audits of lab infrastructure.
Prepare annual academic plans, budget proposals for lab upgrades, and faculty training needs. Present proposals to the management for approval and implementation.
Represent the department in college committees such as academic council, examination board, and student welfare forums. Liaise with external bodies for accreditation and affiliation purposes.
Eligibility Criteria
A Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum 55% marks is required. Ph.D. in Computer Science or Information Technology is strongly preferred for this PGT Recruitment in Maharastra.
