Job Overview
The Pune International School & Jr. College invites applications for the TGT - Physics position in Punecity. The TGT Physics faculty will play a key role in shaping the academic journey of undergraduate students and supporting the junior college science stream.
Day-to-Day Duties
Conduct lectures and practical sessions for TGT Physics students in Punecity, Pune. Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with the Maharashtra State Board syllabus and college academic calendar.
Mentor students through regular doubt-clearing sessions and academic counseling. Monitor academic progress and provide constructive feedback during parent-teacher interactions.
Assist in the design and revision of the Physics curriculum for TGT courses. Participate in setting and evaluating mid-term and final examination papers for the junior college science stream.
Organize and supervise physics lab experiments and demonstrations. Coordinate with the lab technician for equipment maintenance and procurement of materials.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Physics with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. NET/SET qualification is mandatory for Assistant Professor roles; candidates without Ph.D. must have UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/SLET.
A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or higher secondary level. Prior experience in curriculum development and examination evaluation is preferred.
Research & Publications
Encourage faculty to engage in research aligned with current trends in Physics education. Support participation in regional and national conferences on science education and pedagogy.
Assist in guiding students for research projects and paper presentations under the college’s academic initiatives. Contribute to the college’s internal academic journals or seminar proceedings as needed.
Salary and Benefits
The monthly salary for the TGT Physics position ranges from Rs.30,000 to Rs.70,000, as per UGC scales. Benefits include provident fund, medical insurance, and access to college library and laboratory resources.
