About Appasaheb Birnale Public School | Miraj

In the heart of Miraj, a town that blends the rhythm of daily markets with the steady hum of the railway line, families often look for a school that can keep pace with their aspirations. Children here grow up surrounded by the cultural richness of Sangli district, yet many parents worry about finding an institution that offers a structured, forward‑looking education while still respecting local values. The demand is for a place where a child can receive solid academic grounding, develop good habits, and feel safe during the long hours after school, especially for those who travel from nearby villages and need a reliable day‑boarding option.

Appasaheb Birnale Public School was set up in 1996 by the Shri Vasantrao Banduji Patil Trust precisely to answer that call. Nestled behind the railway station in Shinde Mala, the campus stretches over a sizeable area that accommodates thousands of learners from kindergarten to senior secondary. The school follows the CBSE curriculum, which gives students a uniform framework recognized across India, and it enriches that syllabus with regular assessments, project work and practical labs that aim to turn theory into experience. Teachers, most of whom hold advanced degrees and have spent years in classrooms across Maharashtra, are encouraged to blend lecture with discussion, allowing quiet learners to find their voice and more confident students to be challenged further.

Beyond textbooks, the school places equal emphasis on character building and personal growth. Morning assemblies begin with a short reflection on values, while afternoons are filled with activities ranging from sports in the open field to art workshops in well‑ventilated studios. The day‑boarding model means that children are looked after until the evening, giving working parents peace of mind that their sons and daughters are in a supervised, nurturing environment. The staff’s familiarity with the local community helps them address each child’s needs, whether it is extra help in mathematics or guidance on social responsibilities.

For families wishing to learn more or arrange a visit, the school office can be reached at 7887834040, and inquiries are also handled through the official email channels listed on the school’s website. With more than two decades of service, Appasaheb Birnale Public School has become a familiar name in Miraj, offering a blend of academic rigor, moral guidance and a supportive setting that many parents in Sangli district have
