Role
The PRT Computer Science Teacher position at Hollotoli School in Dimapur Sadar will engage in teaching Computer Science to students in Class 6 to 8. This role focuses on developing foundational programming skills, digital literacy, and practical applications using modern tools and concepts. The teacher will create engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
Teach Computer Science subjects, including programming basics, data structures, and software tools, to students in grades 6 to 8. Prepare and deliver interactive lessons, hands-on projects, and practical demonstrations to enhance learning outcomes. Assess student performance through continuous evaluation, quizzes, and project-based assessments to track progress.
Classroom Management
Maintain a structured and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students participate actively. Address behavioral issues with patience and firm guidance while promoting a positive and supportive classroom culture. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Computer Science concepts across different subjects when possible.
Curriculum Support
Help develop and update teaching materials, including worksheets, lab manuals, and digital resources, to support the Computer Science curriculum. Stay updated on educational trends and new technologies in Computer Science to incorporate relevant advancements in lessons.
Communication
Keep parents informed about student progress through regular updates, parent-teacher meetings, and communication channels. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and administrative staff to ensure smooth operation of the school.
Qualification
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) to qualify for the PRT position. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
Experience
Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in Computer Science or a related subject at the elementary level. Experience working with students in grades 6 to 8 is a strong asset. Familiarity with educational software and digital learning platforms is beneficial.
Compensation
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.13,000 to Rs.22,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
