The role supports daily lab operations, ensures smooth technology access for students and staff, and maintains an orderly computing environment. Candidates should have hands-on experience with lab management, hardware maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Set up, operate, and maintain computers, printers, and peripherals in the lab.
2. Monitor lab usage and allocate systems to students and staff as needed.
3. Assist users with basic software navigation and account management.
4. Maintain inventory of lab equipment, software licenses, and consumables.
5. Conduct regular preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs with vendors.
6. Ensure compliance with school’s IT usage policy and lab safety norms.
7. Assist in organizing coding clubs, digital literacy sessions, and lab-based projects.
8. Help create backup files and maintain secure storage of lab data.
9. Support staff during parent-teacher meetings by providing digital reports when required.
Who Can Apply
Must Have
Graduate in any discipline with minimum 2 years of experience in computer lab operations or IT support.
Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and basic networking.
Familiarity with classroom management software used in schools.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues on site.
Good communication skills in English and Odia.
Good to Have
Diploma or certification in Hardware/Networking.
Experience in managing a school or college computer lab.
Knowledge of digital safety and cyber awareness programs.
Familiarity with educational ERP or student management systems.
Prior exposure to organizing tech fests or coding events.
