What You Will Do

Collaborate with the Social Science department to align teaching strategies with board expectations and student needs. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student performance, and feedback for departmental reviews.
Support St. Xaviers High School’s academic calendar by planning history projects aligned with local festivals and historical anniversaries in Odisha. Encourage critical thinking through source-based questions and research assignments that connect Odisha’s past to its present. Assist in organizing inter-school history quizzes and seminars to foster academic excellence.
Eligibility
Postgraduate degree in History with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Three years of full-time teaching experience in History at the senior secondary level.
Preferred Skills
Strong command of Odia and English, with ability to explain historical concepts clearly in both languages.
Experience using digital tools for creating presentations, online assessments, and interactive lessons.
Familiarity with Odisha State Board History curriculum and exam patterns.
Ability to mentor students for competitive exams and board preparations.
