What You Will Do
1. Teach English language skills to primary students using activity-based methods.
2. Prepare monthly lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and Cuttack’s academic standards.
3. Use storytelling, flashcards, rhymes, and simple dramas to make lessons engaging.
4. Conduct weekly spelling tests and reading aloud sessions in class.
5. Assign worksheets for grammar and vocabulary practice with feedback.
6. Organize class assemblies where students recite poems or present short dialogues.
7. Monitor student participation and maintain attendance records in soft copies.
8. Communicate with parents about student progress through notebook notes or meetings.
9. Participate in school events like annual day or sports day involving English recitations.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
Graduation in English or related discipline from a recognized university.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in primary classes.
Fluency in English and Odia or Hindi for classroom interactions.
Ability to create simple teaching aids using locally available materials.
Good to Have
CTET or TET qualified.
Experience in bilingual teaching environments.
Familiarity with Odisha state primary curriculum.
Trained in phonics or Montessori methods.
Experience with digital teaching tools like tablets or smart boards.
