PRT Physical Education Teacher Position at Sbd International School in Jajpur

The role involves designing and delivering engaging sports and fitness programs for students, ensuring they develop physical skills, teamwork, and discipline. This is a full-time position offering a monthly salary of Rs.14,000 to Rs.25,000.
Key Responsibilities
You will plan and conduct daily physical activities, games, and sports sessions tailored to students’ age groups. This includes cricket, basketball, athletics, swimming, and other team-based sports where applicable. Your role also involves assessing students’ physical abilities, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring safety standards are met during all activities.
Teaching assistantship extends beyond the classroom, as you’ll collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education into the curriculum. You’ll organize extracurricular sports events, tournaments, and inter-house competitions to foster a competitive yet inclusive spirit among students. Monitoring students’ participation, attendance, and progress in physical activities is essential.
Maintaining a well-equipped gymnasium and sports facilities is part of your duties. You’ll ensure equipment is properly stored, cleaned, and available for use, while also suggesting improvements to enhance the school’s sports infrastructure. Keeping parents informed about their children’s physical development through regular updates and parent-teacher interactions is also important.
Qualification and Requirements
A graduate degree in any discipline is mandatory. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) will be highly beneficial. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or State Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in teaching physical education to children aged 6 to 18 years is required, with at least two years of relevant teaching experience.
Experience and Skills
A minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is essential. Strong knowledge of various sports and fitness techniques is a must. The ability to motivate students, adapt teaching methods to different learning styles, and maintain a positive classroom environment is crucial.
