Scope of the role
This position is a full‑time PGT teaching slot at Kerla English Medium School, located in Keonjhar Sadar, Kendujhar. The teacher will manage a class of 30–35 students, coordinate with the department head, and contribute to the school’s curriculum development for political science.
Core academic duties
Deliver weekly PGT level lessons in Political Science, covering constitutional law, public administration, and political theory. Facilitate classroom discussions, encourage critical thinking, and integrate local case studies such as Odisha’s Panchayati Raj system. Support students in preparing for state board examinations and national competitive exams.
Assessment and planning duties
Prepare and administer periodic tests, quizzes, and project assignments that assess comprehension of political concepts. Analyze student performance data to identify learning gaps and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Prepare detailed lesson plans and resource lists for each unit, ensuring alignment with the Odisha curriculum and national standards.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in Political Science or related field required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory; TET/CTET preferred. Minimum of four years experience teaching political science at the PGT level in a school setting. Familiarity with Odisha’s educational framework and ability to use technology in the classroom are essential.

Competitive remuneration of Rs.30,000 – Rs.45,000 per month for a full‑time PGT Political Science Teacher in Kendujhar, Odisha. The position is based at Kerla English Medium School, Keonjhar Sadar.
