- Maintain detailed records of counselling sessions and progress, ensuring compliance with school policies.
- Advise parents and guardians on supporting their children’s mental health while respecting confidentiality guidelines.
- Participate in school events and assemblies to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
- Assist in training teachers and support staff on recognizing signs of mental health issues in students.
- Work with external agencies, if needed, to connect students with specialized care when required.
Qualifications (Must Have):
A postgraduate degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field with at least two years of experience in school-based counselling. A background in educational psychology or child development is highly valued.
Good to Have:
Experience in working with students in Punjab schools or similar environments. Knowledge of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques would be advantageous.
Essential Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with students and families. Empathy and emotional intelligence to handle sensitive situations effectively.
