Job Description
PGT English Teacher Job in Firozpur, Punjab | School Recruitment
Institution Environment
Dcm Complex, Station Road, Ferozepur Cantt, Punjab, India is known for its quiet campus tucked between the railway lines and the cantonment area. Teachers here often sit together in the staff room during breaks, swapping notes on student behavior and sharing lesson plans for the next day. The English department especially values teachers who can blend structured teaching with local flavor—like using Punjabi proverbs to explain Shakespearean soliloquies.

The school expects the teacher to cover prose, poetry, grammar, and composition while keeping students engaged in a district where English is not always the first language at home.

Maintain updated attendance registers, progress reports, and anecdotal records for each class.
Collaborate with the Hindi and Punjabi departments to organize annual inter-house literary festivals.
Attend weekly departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and share resources.
Coordinate with the librarian to ensure the English section of the school library is stocked with reference books and novels.
