Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver advanced-level Philosophy lessons covering key thinkers, theories, and contemporary debates.
2. Prepare comprehensive lesson plans aligned with Doon Oxford School’s curriculum while incorporating modern pedagogical techniques.
3. Assess student understanding through written exams, projects, and discussions to ensure mastery of philosophical concepts.
4. Collaborate with the Philosophy department to design interdisciplinary projects that connect philosophy to social sciences and humanities.
5. Maintain accurate student records and participate in progress tracking for Philosophy students.
6. Engage in extracurricular activities like philosophy clubs or debates to foster intellectual curiosity beyond the classroom.
7. Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops to stay updated on educational trends in Philosophy teaching.
8. Support the school’s holistic growth by mentoring students in critical thinking and ethical decision-making.
To apply, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Philosophy with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Two years of teaching experience in Philosophy at the senior secondary level is preferred. A TET/CTET certificate is not mandatory but will be an added advantage.
