About This Role
In Sacred Dale International School Punjab’s KG wing, children from Ludhiana’s cosmopolitan families step into their first English classroom every morning. As the Us Curriculum Kg English Teacher you will shape their phonics, vocabulary and confidence for the years ahead. The KG English Teacher vacancy in Ludhiana is open to experienced early-years educators who can turn story time into a launchpad for literacy.
Classroom Profile
Your class will have 22 to 25 four- to five-year-olds seated in a semi-circle on colourful mats. Each child brings a home language mix—Punjabi, Hindi and English—but the Us Curriculum Kg English Teacher ensures every learner starts reading Level A readers by the end of the session. Sacred Dale International School Punjab’s KG block is fitted with interactive smart boards, letter walls and a mini library corner to support your daily plans.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver phonics-based lessons aligned to the Us Curriculum Kg framework five days a week.
Prepare take-home readers and activity sheets that parents in Ludhiana West can reinforce without stress.
Conduct show-and-tell sessions where each child speaks for two minutes to build oral English.
Organise monthly letter-of-the-week celebrations to which local KG parents are invited.
Assess reading readiness through simple running records every alternate week.
Collaborate with the special educator to adapt materials for any child needing extra support.
Maintain a daily anecdotal log in the class diary for seamless handovers to the next teacher.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed with at least three years of KG teaching experience.
Prior exposure to an international or Us curriculum KG class is advantageous.
CTET or TET preferred but not mandatory for this English teaching job in Ludhiana.
