Baba Devi Sr. Sec. School invites a dedicated PGT Geography Teacher to join their team in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This role involves shaping young minds with a strong foundation in geography, blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications relevant to Rajasthan’s diverse landscapes. Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct geography lessons aligned with the school’s syllabus, ensuring clarity and engagement for students. Prepare engaging visual aids like maps, diagrams, and multimedia presentations to enhance learning. Monitor student progress in geography and provide timely feedback to help them grasp concepts effectively. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate geography content into interdisciplinary projects, fostering a holistic learning experience.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update geography teaching resources, including worksheets, project ideas, and assessment tools tailored to student needs. Participate in school-wide academic planning meetings to refine geography curriculum strategies. Organize and supervise field trips or outdoor activities that explore Rajasthan’s geography, such as desert ecosystems or historical sites. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and participation in geography-related activities.
Periodic Responsibilities
Assist in organizing geography-related competitions, exhibitions, or workshops to encourage student participation and showcase their learning. Collaborate with the principal and senior staff to address geography-specific challenges, such as curriculum adjustments or resource allocation. Conduct periodic reviews of teaching methods and student feedback to continuously improve geography instruction.
A PGT Geography Teacher must hold a postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in geography, is required. While TET/CTET is not mandatory for this role, having certification can be an advantage. The successful candidate will be based in Bikaner, Rajasthan, with a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 35,000.
