- Coordinate field trips to nearby zoological parks and natural reserves, ensuring students gain real‑world exposure to animal biology.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress reports, submitting them to the school administration on a regular basis.
- Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum updates, resource needs, and student welfare initiatives.
- Organize science exhibitions and inter‑school competitions, showcasing student projects and fostering a culture of scientific inquiry.
- Engage parents through periodic newsletters and parent‑teacher meetings, discussing student achievements and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of extracurricular activities such as biology clubs and eco‑projects, promoting environmental awareness among students.
- Stay updated with latest developments in zoology and incorporate modern teaching aids like virtual simulations and interactive quizzes.
Qualification and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in Zoology or related field required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory for teaching positions; TET/CTET is preferred but not mandatory. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the PGT level is expected. Candidates should have a strong grasp of Indian educational standards and a passion for inspiring young minds in the field of biology.
