A School in Jaipur, Rajasthan is hiring a PRT Theatre Teacher.
Role Summary
Subodh Global School is looking for a dedicated PRT Theatre Teacher to join its vibrant performing arts department. The role is a full-time position for a graduate with at least three years of theatre teaching experience. The Theatre Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons for classes I to V, fostering creativity and confidence among young learners in Jaipur.
What You Will Do
1. Design age-appropriate theatre lessons that integrate voice modulation, body language, and storytelling techniques for primary students.
2. Organize bi-weekly theatre workshops where students practice short skits, mimes, and role-plays to build stage presence.
3. Prepare students for annual school plays and inter-house theatre competitions, coordinating with class teachers for seamless integration.
4. Maintain a theatre corner in every classroom with props, masks, and scripts to encourage spontaneous dramatic expression.
5. Collaborate with the art and music departments to create cross-disciplinary performances during school festivals.
6. Document student progress through anecdotal records and short video clips shared with parents during PTMs.
7. Participate in monthly departmental meetings to align theatre activities with the school’s holistic development goals.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must be graduates with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree and minimum three years of theatre teaching experience. Familiarity with local Jaipur theatre groups and regional folk performances is desirable. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, exposure to child-centered pedagogy is preferred.
What You Get
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary between Rs.18,000 and Rs.35,000 based on experience and qualifications. Subodh Global School offers a structured work schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM with paid summer and winter breaks aligned to Rajasthan government norms.
