Day-to-Day Duties
Teach postgraduate MD Anaesthesiology students through lectures, seminars, and case-based discussions at the university’s super-speciality hospital complex. Conduct weekly grand rounds and morbidity-mortality meetings to foster clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice. Supervise anaesthesia procedures in the operation theatre, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and documentation standards.
Coordinate the development and review of curriculum modules for DM and MD programmes in Anaesthesiology, aligning content with NMC guidelines and UGC benchmarks. Guide junior residents in conducting short-term research projects and quality improvement initiatives within the department. Organise workshops on simulation-based training and ultrasound-guided nerve blocks for residents and faculty.
Lead collaborative research projects on regional anaesthesia, obstetric anaesthesia, or neuroanaesthesia, involving residents and junior faculty. Prepare and submit research proposals to ICMR, DBT, or other national funding agencies for departmental projects. Publish findings in indexed journals such as the Indian Journal of Anaesthesia or the Journal of Anaesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Anaesthesiology is mandatory for this SENIOR RESIDENT position at Jaipur National University. Candidates with post-doctoral research experience in perioperative medicine or pain sciences will be given preference during selection. UGC-NET with JRF qualification is required if PhD is not completed; however, preference remains for doctoral holders.
Minimum three years of post-MD experience in clinical anaesthesiology, including teaching and research supervision in a university-affiliated hospital. Active participation in national anaesthesia associations such as the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists is desirable. Hands-on experience with research methodology, biostatistics, and manuscript preparation is essential.

Mentor residents in presenting research at national conferences such as the annual ISA Rajasthan chapter meeting. Contribute to institutional research ethics committee reviews as a subject expert in anaesthesia practice.
Salary and Benefits
The monthly consolidated salary for the SENIOR RESIDENT Anaesthesiology Teacher position ranges from Rs.90,000 to Rs.150,000 as per UGC norms and experience.
