Role Summary
As a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in History, you will be responsible for teaching History to students at the senior secondary level. You will be expected to design engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide guidance to students seeking to excel in the subject.
What You Will Do
- Teach History to students at the senior secondary level
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve academic performance
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum-aligned materials and resources
- Mentor students seeking guidance on academic and career-related matters
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and events that promote History education
- Stay updated on the latest developments in History education and incorporate them into your teaching practice
- Contribute to the development of the History department by suggesting new ideas and initiatives
- Engage with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and academic achievements
Eligibility
- Post-graduate degree in History from a recognized university
- B.Ed. degree from a recognized university
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a senior secondary school setting
- Strong passion for History education and commitment to academic excellence
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
