Key Responsibilities
As a senior teacher, the PGT History Teacher will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing the History curriculum for Classes 11 and 12.
- Conducting classes for students of Classes 9 to 12, as per the school's academic schedule.
- Evaluating students' performance and providing constructive feedback.
- Coordinating with other teachers to ensure a well-rounded education for students.
- Mentoring junior staff members, including PRTs and TGTs.
- Contributing to the school's academic policies and procedures.
- Participating in staff meetings and contributing to decision-making processes.
- Ensuring student safety and well-being in and out of the classroom.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Preparing and submitting reports to the school administration as required.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this position, candidates must have:
- A post-graduate degree in History (MA or M.Sc) from a recognized university.
- A B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience in a school setting, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- A strong background in History, with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
- NET or SET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
