What You Will Do
- Conduct regular one-to-one and group counselling sessions with students, teachers, and staff.
- Develop and implement guidance and counselling programs to promote mental health and wellness.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school administrators to identify and address student needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and counselling sessions.
- Develop and implement strategies to address bullying, substance abuse, and other social issues.
- Provide support and guidance to teachers on classroom management and student behaviour.
- Develop and implement training programs for teachers on counselling and guidance.
- Collaborate with local mental health professionals to provide additional support and resources.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Psychological Counsellor in a school setting.
- B.Ed/D.El.Ed is not required for this role, but TET/CTET certification is preferred.
